• What vehicles use H7 LED headlight bulbs?

  H7 is a single-beam bulb socket used for low beam, high beam and fog light positions on many European vehicles (VW, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo), as well as many Asian and American cars and motorcycles. • What is the brightest H7 LED bulb?

  The GX-ULTRA Series is the brightest H7 LED headlight bulb from Auxbeam at 40,000LM / 240W in 6500K cool white. Next in line are the ST90 Series at 35,000LM / 180W, the F35 Series at 32,000LM / 130W and the GX Series at 25,000LM / 120W.

• Do I need a CANBUS decoder for H7 LED bulbs?

  Most Auxbeam H7 LED bulbs have a built-in CAN-BUS driver that works with about 99% of vehicle computers. Sensitive models — including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volvo, Dodge and some Ford Fusion, Focus and Escape trims — may flicker or show a bulb-out warning, which needs a decoder. • Why won't my H7 LED bulb stay in place? Do I need an adapter?

  Some vehicles — notably VW, KIA, Hyundai, BMW and Mercedes-Benz — use a factory spring clip retainer that does not grip an LED bulb base the same way it grips a halogen bulb. In those housings an H7 retainer holder adapter is required to lock the bulb in place. If the fan housing is too deep to refit the dust cover, use a silicone dust cap instead. • Can I use H7 LED bulbs for fog lights or DRL?

  Yes. The GX Bi-Color Series switches between 6500K white and 3000K golden yellow for better penetration in fog, rain and snow, and the GX Bi-Color Smart Series adds Bluetooth App control. The R7 RGB Series is designed as a headlight, DRL and fog light in one, with remote-controlled color.

• Are H7, H4 and H11 bulbs interchangeable?

  No — H7, H4 and H11 have different bases, locking tabs and wiring and cannot be swapped. H7 is a single-beam bulb, H4 (9003) is a dual-beam bulb that produces both high and low beam from one unit, and H11 is most often a low beam. • Are there 24V H7 LED bulbs for trucks?

  Yes — the F35 Series H7 LED headlight bulbs support both 12V and 24V systems at 32,000LM / 130W, making them the right choice for pickup trucks, work trucks and heavy-duty vehicles. For 12V trucks with sensitive electronics, the S3 Pro Series adds dual CAN-BUS decoders.

• Do H7 LED bulbs have cooling fans, and how long do they last?

  Most Auxbeam H7 bulbs, including the GX Series, use an aviation aluminum heat sink with a 12,000RPM turbo fan, rated at up to 50,000 hours and IP68 waterproof. If the fan housing prevents the factory dust cover from closing, a silicone dust cap resolves it without modifying the headlight.

• How do I confirm my car takes H7 bulbs?

  Three reliable ways: check the owner's manual or the bulb-size chart, remove the stock bulb and read the marking on its base (for example H7), or use the Vehicle Finder on any Auxbeam product page with your Year/Make/Model.
