The whole package beat my expectations everything was well built. It functions exactly as should and made ease of installation even easier.
I mounted this in between my plow headlights and run it with high beams for longer distance light and more flood light and it works absolutely perfect
A lot of people bashing these lights obviously didn't read everything about these lights before buying them. If they don't fit check your old bulbs o ring below the foam insert of the box they come in. There's a bag of o rings make sure to put what ever side o ring your old bulb has on your new bulb! Mine fit just fine with the o rings that are assembled to the bulb. If it still don't fit, you probably need an adapter! Also keep in mind! THESE BULBS ARE A GOOD BIT LONGER THEN YOUR STOCK BULB! So make sure you've got clearance behind your headlight housing before buying! This is all stuff AUXBEAM plain as day explains on the bulbs description so everyone complaining about these not fitting either can't read or is to lazy to read! For those that claim they fit but don't work also has an issue reading! These bulbs are polarity sensitive! That means positive and negative have to line up CORRECTLY! So if you plug it up and it don't turn on, unplug it flip your VEHICLES PLUG 180° and plug it back in. This matters when hooking the decoders up as well!!! I had zero issues with shipping from AUXBEAM I ordered all my decoders from them as well as my low beam bulbs! I ordered my high beams from an off road website and it was an absolute fiasco dealing with them. Zero response when emailed and took 16 days to get to me. AUXBEAM had what I ordered directly from them delivered to me in one working week.
ENOUGH OF STANDING UP FOR AUXBEAM AND FIXING EVERYONES PROBLEMS! ON TO MY REVIEW! P.S. The GX ULTRA bulbs will 100% piss other drivers off! I get flashed ALL THE TIME! It makes my commute to work super enjoyable, I drive with my hand on the high beam lever now, full of excitement, just waiting for someone to flash me just so I can FLASH them back! Childish... I know but man its great!
If you've ever been cruising down the road and had bugs splattering on your windshield right where your point of view to the road is and got to thinking about bugs due to the guts in your point view.... Then im sure you've quietly and only in your head asked "I wonder if a gnat has an @$$ hole!?!?" Buy these bulbs and I promise you'll know the answer! For those of you to scared to pull the trigger on these... The answer is YES... Gnats do have @$$ holes! High beams are out of this world! Like damn near taking freaking xrays of deer on the side of the road! I'll never use a different bulb! I travel a lot for work and am normally traveling back roads in the dark to get to work these bulbs have been an absolute game changer! If I hit a deer now its because I was asleep behind the wheel or doing something I shouldn't of been doing! I will absolutely be getting a 2nd set for my tahoe! I can't speak for the tahoe but the 2016 civic 100% needed the decoders! The low beams flickered like crazy without them. The high beams also needed a decoder. How ever I've noticed my high beams still have a bit of flicker when I first turn them on! Even with the decoder hooked up. Once they've been on for a while it stops or at least gets to a point where you can't notice the flicker from the drivers seat. Last but not least... For those of you who dont understand power/electricity these are 240 watt bulbs... At least thats what AUXBEAM claims. That is an absurd amount of power being drawn! Keep in mind it's 240 watts per bulb! So 480 watts just with low beams running. Flip your high beams on and your running double that! If you've got a week battery I'd get a new one because these things ABSOLUTELY put some load on the battery! I mean I can park outside of my garrage go inside the garrage and stand where the bumper of the car would be if I were to park it in the garrage, put my hand in direct path of the bulb beam hot spot and literally feel heat. That is INSANE! LAST TIP! If you get these installed and they don't seem bright check and make the LEDs on the bulb are pointing left to right <--> if they are pointing up and down you need to pull the bulb back out and adjust the collar on the bulb. AUXBEAM included this collar to give a bit of adjustment due to bulb fitment being different on every vehicle. Just remember LEDs facing up and down or at 10 o'clock and 4 o'clock is bad! They need to be at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock to perform correctly! Picture I uploaded is high beams. On my car low beam stays on when high beams are turned on so technically the Picture I uploaded is high and low beam together!
Easy to install and very bright
They are not bright at all for 25000 and they flicker sometimes during operation not impressed
