I feeling these lights.... works great... the brightness on point... the color change is crazy... highly recommend
I originally bought a different cheapo set from ebay. The aux beam lights fixed ALL of my complaints with the other lights. These are bright, install was two pig tails that were long enough with the 10x kit to surround my entire tacoma versus the other which was an octopus looking collection point and the extensions were too short, this blue tooth works if the unit is on for a minute or so but the controller is what I use if I even use it. I dont care about the rainbows and party modes but having white and yellow for wheeling and the red for the campsite is nice plus the lights are dimmable. I took them to rubicon last weekend and hit some of them a few times and they are holding jup great. My set up uses the auxbeam switch panel as well.
I give 4 stars because 1. the fasteners and mounts didnt work for my application but I bought some Amazon magnets and those work great for mounting both the lights and the controller and I can mount without drilling or welding or bracket making. The magnet option is also nice because I can move them a little bit due to some intentional slack in the lines, for lighting work areas under the truck during trail repairs. 2. The harness for the controller to the battery is incredibly short, expect to modify this. Not a big deal for me but you will most likely mess with it.
One think to be considerate of is that the large lights are 1.25a each. If you plan on using a 10a or less section on your switch panel, pay attention to how many you buy. I bought the 10x kit which is approx 12.5 amps and couldn't use the 10a spot.
Summary is ... worth it. 4 might be a bit dim, 8 is probably a good average pleaser. I did 10 and I have 360 coverage extending about 5' from the truck with very usable light and about another 5' of visible light but less defined.
And I bought these out of my own pocket because I keep ending up stuck in trails at night. Thanks aux beam for making good average budget lights
These were easy to install and I love being able to see better while driving at night now!
Absolutely wonderful for people to deal with. Had an issue with one of the lights I had purchased they went above and beyond to help me solve the issue.
